If so is this normal? ANd how long did it take using it for the smell to finally go away? This is like awful. Nothing is actually burning it just smells like it is.
Those coolers can mess up your PS3, because they don't let the internal cooling system work properly. If you have that smell, imho, get rid of that cooler. PS3 is very stable and reliable, no need for coolers. Just make sure it has 10cm gap around it to "breathe".

It is any good? I have been using the Nyko intercooler, but the fans stop working after just a few months. Has anyone found a good intercooler for the PS3?
I am just wanting to take a precaution. It isn't like these things are cheap!
The coolers for the PS3 actually damage it, instead of benefit.
The cooler's position is in the wrong place and it will harm the system because from that opening, Warm air comes out(from the system), when you plug in the cooler, it redirects that warm air that is supposed to go out of the PS3 naturally back in it, causing damage to your PS3. I highly recommend not to use coolers at all. They are designed wrong. I know that you want to protect your system, but they harm it.
The best thing to do is keep it where air keeps flowing, and do not place anything right next to it, to let the air circulation work properly by itself. The coolers cause hot air to build up.
It measures air flow through the intake so the fuel injection computer can supply the right amount of fuel to the cylinders.

Sounds more like your idle control valve. I had a similar problem with one of my cars, and that was the faulty part.
Also there is no such thing as a Massive airflo system.
There's a Mass Air Flow Sensor. I'm going to assume that's what you were trying to say....no idea where you got the other name from.

There are actually three methods for sizing or resizing air moving ductwork. They are the equal friction method ,the equal velocith method and the static regain method. In each there must be a pressure drop criteria for which the sizing is done for the given rate of volume. Sometimes an equal velocity criteria is selected when conveying considerations are important. For HVAC considerations the static regain will optimize the system, but is a more tedious sizing procedure. Computer programs for sizing make it much easier.
On Tuesday, Karla Henderson, director of Buildings and Safety Engineering, and officials with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment met to ensure the city is in compliance.

"It's not acceptable," Henderson said.
