If you have first hand experience with the line, please give me your opinions. How well did it work for you? Did it really worked as advertised? How do you rate the line compare to other braid lines?
Fireline is not a BRAID. It's a fused line. And yes....there is a difference, and it is significant.
It's a grossly underrated line, that will break WELL above the stated breaking strength - at times, it's close to double the rating. Also, it is MUCH THICKER than it claims to be. That is how it gets its amazing strength.
To give you an example of how this works...if you were to compare 30# rated Fireline to 30# rated PowerPro, you would find that the Fireline will break at close to +/-50#'s and the PowerPro will break at close to +40#. Now, that PowerPro is MUCH thinner than the Fireline. If you were to drop the Fireline down to the same THICKNESS as the PowerPro, you would be down to the 14/16# Fireline.
On another note, Fireline is heavily coated, and VERY noise compared to other superlines. The coating is noticeably more abrasive and will wear inferior guides out relatively easily. If they aren't at least hialoy/hardloy, they WILL suffer if you fish with it on a regular basis.
I just don't like the features they;ve built into the line. I think it's annoying and it CERTAINLY can't outcast any other braids with it's crappy guide flow. Suffix, PowerPro, TuffLIne, etc. will ALL outcast it.
I would MUCH rather go with just about any other line than Fireline....

This is a Fireline cartridge, A cartridge which is used to put roms onto a DS for a full experience of the proper game, dont worry, the games work (usually) But the person who uploaded those games you bought (Probably more than one game in the cartridge) Has either overloaded it with so much information it wont let the system itself input anymore or maybe theres just too many games!!

My advice would be for you to perhaps yahoo! search ¨DS fireline.
And then purchase the equipment to attactch to your computer, that way you can add and delete games at will. Good luck resolving your suituation!!

Just as they say - 1.5mb is 11.7 times as fast as 128kb and 3mb is twice as fast as 1.5mb.

Fireline crystal is not as good as the original smoke or moss colored line. But i prefer Power Pro over Fireline for several reasons. It is way cheaper, $12 instead of $20. It has a way smaller diameter for its strength. It is more round, Fireline is flat, which allows better casting. The only thing Fireline has on Power Pro is that it can cut through that annoying sea weed a little better. Use the Palomar when tying line to tackle and I like using the uni to uni or reverse Albright when tying line to line or i just use a swivel.

How To Rig Crappie Minnows
It is very important to offer your crappie live bait presentation in just the right way so as to make the crappie get excited about hitting minnow bait presentation. It is also just as important to hook your crappie minnow correctly. You want the minnow hooked in a way that minnow can stay alive and swim freely. I am going to show you how to make a crappie minnow rig that has proven successful for me. And don’t forget to read the last paragraph because I don’t want you to miss out on a rarely used crappie minnow jigging technique.
How To Make A Dual Crappie Minnow Rig Using Three Way Swivels
You can purchase these rigs commercially but if you want to save a few bucks here’s a step by step procedure to make your own.
Step#1 You will need to have some 8-20lb fire line. For comparison, the dia. of the 20lb test is the same as 6lb mono-filament line.
Step#2 You will want your crappie minnow to swim as freely as possible so you will need to get some 3 ways swivels. The swivels will enable the minnow to swim in 360deg circles driving the crappie crazy!
Step#3 You will need some sinkers with enough weight to get your rig to the bottom. 1/4oz Egg or bass sinkers work nicely.
Step#4 Take some fire line off of your reel spool, or from the line container and cut 2 pieces 10” long, then tie a crappie hook to the end of each piece.
Step#5 Cut 2 pieces of fire line that are about 12” inches long.
Step#6 Open the bail on your fishing reel, make sure you have your fire line going through the eyelets, now pull enough line out so you can work freely while your assembling your crappie live bait rig. Pickup one of the 3 way swivels and tie it to your line that is coming from your fishing reel.
Step#7 Tie one of crappie hook leaders you made in step 4 to the open eye on the 3 way swivel that is 90 degrees clockwise. There should be one open eyelet when you get done, that is pointing strait downward.
