The company Dymara has gone out of business and their fishing spoons are amazing. Is there any website known where i can get them, excluding E-Bay because they only have trolling spoons. Also the email on the Dymara site does not work, any other way i can get in contact with them? If anyone has any post em on ebay:D
if the company has gone out of business, it's a sure thing their website will no longer work. looks like ebay and some of the other auction sites are your best bet.

When I'm spin-cast fishing I almost exclusively use spoons or spinners, attached to a fluorocarbon leader off of braided line. Since I use braided lines I am not too concerned with line twists, and I could replace the leader easily. Would attaching a spoon or inline spinner directly to the line instead of attaching it to snap swivel give the lures more action, or should I just keep using snap swivels?
I would use a swivel-so no controversy from me, lol ive been adding a swivel for years, its makes it a lot easier to fish with as changing spinners is quick and simple, ive found the difference between using them and not using them to be very little.

Normally not. The sparkle of the sunlight glinting off the spoon is what attracts the fish. Make sure it's free to spin as it goes through the water, and retrieve it fast and then slow so it will "dance".
spinning or casting reel? what length rod?
This is an absolute "preference" issue. Either outfit's will do the job fine.
Are we talking about Inshore Flats Reds not weighing more than 25-30 LB's?
Or monster Reds weighing MORE than 30-35LBs?
If your going after monster's get a bait-casting reel, (preferably an Abu Garcia 5500 C-4 $89).

7-7' 6" Medium/Medium heavy, fast action, rods would work perfect for most situations.

A toothbrush or fine steel wool.
Clean them in the water you are fishing and don't use any cleaners.
Residue will have a unnatural scent.
Ok if you must use a cleaner try baking soda on a wet rag(wet in the water you are fishing)
If they are really cruddy do as above with salt then rinse well to prevent corrosion.
Red fishing was consistent over the week for anglers making the commitment. Often a little patience was necessary but the reward was very good catches of fish from sub legal of about seventeen inches to over-slot fish over thirty inches. Reds were caught at both ends of Matlacha Pass and the Sound on live shrimp, cut bait and a variety of artificials. Captain Charles Epranian reports several days with good red fishing in southern Matlacha Pass near St. James. From undersize rats to oversize, reds were caught in two to four feet of water during the incoming tide on live shrimp fished on jig heads. Captain Ken Honc reports catching reds over several days in the northern Sound. Working live shrimp along shorelines on the lee side out of the wind produced fish from nineteen to thirty inches. The best bite was the last hour of incoming and first hour of the falling tide. Redfish were also reported in the Indian Fields area of Matlacha Pass and in the southern Sound near Cork Key with gold
