I'm looking for information regarding the "Tuff Shad" muskie lure however the site that I found regarding these is not working. If anybody has pictures of these lures, or any websites/ information about them, please respond. Thank-you!

Yes they do.They are so good in fact that I use them to even catch snook and Tarpon in saltwater. Storm wild eyes are very realistic in appearance so you will need to "match the hatch" when fishing it. I speak alot of Flourocarbon leaders and line because this only enhances the lure. They take some getting used to at first but when you do "get a feel for them "you will be catching those bass easily. I have to admit, using the storms isn't my preffered choice when fishing cover ( lilly pads and what not) but they do make great baits for schooling bass, fishing over deep grass beds, rock piles, and spawning beds. I'm sure others here have better uses for them over certain situations but that all has to with being confident in your lure. Go out there and give it a try, if you don't succeed, don't toss the lure, examine the day, what you did and so on to figure out how to best use the lure. Storms are great lures, it just takes some getting used to.

Im new to freshwater fishing, and I'm looking for some good bass lures. I dont want to go bass pro shop and spend $100 dollars on lures because they look cool, so any help i could get would be great, (I've been using a shad lure and its been producing a few bass) Im in Texas if that helps.
Thanks everyone, im going to print out the suggested lures and go look for them, and i see alot of people are suggesting spinner baits, and ive been looking at these and have seen many colors and makes, which would be best, and also would i use a slow or fast retrieve, thanks again!
When starting out bass fishing you just need a couple lures - Plastic worms, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and top-waters. Just grab one of each and learn how to fish it.

saw a bunch of bass jumping out of the water chasing shad but i didnt know how to catch them. im new to bass fishing so i didnt know what lure to use. i tried worms right over the areas where the bass jumped. i also tried a buzzbait and a jig. someone told me to use a jerk shad but i didnt know how to rig one. any tips?
It's a bass fisherman's dream to catch the bass schooling on shad. Some times you can fill up the ice chest and they will hit every time they come to the top and start striking the shad. But for some reason there are times when they will hit absolutely nothing you throw at them, but yet create a storm on the water as they attack the shad. I suspect that you had one of those days when they would hit nothing you threw at them. But just keep trying, because the next time they start schooling up and you are lucky enough to be there, they may hit any lure you throw at them. Here is some advice.Bass will sometimes school in the same area most of the summer. Check out the area they were in every time you go fishing.It will pay off for you good luck!
I'm hoping to find some stripers this weekend, May 9-11, so your answers are really appreciated. Also, if you know where one can use a casting net to gather shad or other bait fish, that would help immensely. Thanks!
You can catch stripers from the deep water port in Stockton to the golden gate bridge. The rock wall off of San Quinten is good, as is the area around the SF airport. Try drifting live bullheads or anchovies and you may land a halibut or a leopard shark along with your striped bass. Both baits are readily available in the bay area.
If you want to catch your own, rather than using a casting net for shad, which are real hard to come by in the bay area, try a small sabiki rig or snagging rig to catch herring or smelt.
VALLEY
• New Melones Reservoir — Monte Smith of Gold Country Sport Fishing reported a decent trout bite with the fish moving off the banks into open water. He was using a combination of lead core and downriggers for fish to 2-pounds. Smith also trolled for an hour with kokanee gear near Glory Hole Point without results other than a quality rainbow on the kokanee lures. Gary Burns of Take It To The Limit Guide Service found kokanee in the open water in the middle of the lake. Bruce Hamby of Sierra Sport Fishing recommended trolling from the Spillway to the Dam or near the mouth of Mormon Creek at 30-45 feet deep with Uncle Larry's Spinners tipped with a piece of crawler, shad-patterned Slim Fins or Cop Car ExCels behind ball flashers. A brown trout weighing 4.75 pounds was landed near the Dam at 75 feet in depth on a blade/crawler combination. Trout fishing from the banks remains slow, as the pendulum has swung in the favor of trollers.
Fishing remains good for spotted bass in the main lake cuts and coves. Carolina-rigged Creature Baits such as the Zoom Baby Brush Hog or Reaction Innovations Sweet Beavers are working at 20-30 feet deep. Swimbaits will produce on windy days. Catfishing is improving with the warmer water temperatures. Crappie and bluegill bites remain is still fair with the best action at night under submersible lights near Bear, Mormon or Carson creeks with small or medium minnows or crappie jigs in red/white, black/chartreuse or purple/white at 25-40 feet deep near structure. The lake is holding at 52 percent capacity. Glory Hole Sporting Goods is holding their annual Seminar Day on April 17 with many of the featured trout, kokanee and bass guides presenting.
