I keep getting bites and bites, and 1-2 out of 5 I miss em. I want to be able to get the sharpest hooks out there, so I don't waste my time fishing and missing bites of big fish. I do set the hook around 3 times I jerk and jerk and jerk, and it just doesn't work sometimes.

I am fishing for largemouth bass. I know how to catch them. I love fishing for them. I go behind the house every chance I get. Today I lost 2, and I caught one. I use a jig head and plastic worms, sometimes I switch to beetles and topwaters. I catch bass ranging from 1-6lbs. There are also catfish, crappie, bluegill, and tilapia in here that you can catch.
Oh...I've also caught those fish except the bluegills.

Gamakatsu EWG. Is my favorite because they are sharp and strong.

This method works for tying on hooks, lures or anything. I was surprised how many people didnt know how to do this so I put this on youtube.

the very tip of my hair (some not all) looks curls up and looks like fishing hooks! or the letter J and its freaky! and it freaks me out knowing that my hair is like that. what causes it, what can i do to prevent it, do i need to cut my hair. my hair is long down to my shoulders and i havent cut it in 2 years.

Yikes! Have you tried fishing with it? Ha Ha LOL

How do you perfectly connect hooks to a fishing line ? As I have been trying different methods by myself but not good. Also please give me dimensions when and where should i connect them. Please help.

I have an old lure with a trebble hook and i just cant get rid of the rust please help me.

Replace the hooks! They are weakened now. If you are fishing in salt, use stainless hooks and rinse them in fresh water and air dry before storage.

just wondering if you guys can give me any tips for the best type of hooks to be using when carp fishing?i had 5 carp yesterday all around the 2lb mark,but i lost a 12lber right on the bank!!!i am convinced it was because of the hook.i have only started coarse fishing this week,so far after three 5 hour sessions i have caught 7 and lost 4.

Gamakatsu G Carp Method hooks are the best (in my opinion), if you can lay your hands on them. This time of year, like Paul R says, use small hooks and thinner lines, like, size 6,8,10 hooks, 8-10 lb lines. You should remember though that you should always match the size of the hook to the size of the bait. Too small a hook may prevent a solid hook up if your bait is disproportionately large. I agree with Paul that hair rigs are usually safer in terms of hooking a fish.
